Transforming Airbnb Magazines in fun coasters for your guests!

From Host to Host : Airbnb Mag is something that we all stock up in our properties. I love to craft and with this pandemic going on I decided to take advantage of our free time and the old magazines that I had. Airbnb magazines are very colorful and that is a plus. When I found out the amount of magazines that I had, I realized that they were too good to throw them away. I started making Coasters for my friends but then I came up with the idea of making them for our guests. Our guests loved them! Here is a little guide on how to make them.

What do you need?

- Airbnb Magazines

- White glue

- Scissors

- 1 Bamboo Skewer Stick

- Rubber bands

- Mod Podge (Matte)

- 1 Foam brush (to apply the mod podge)

Step 1

Tear up your Airbnb Magazines.

Step 2

Cut each page in 3 pieces, you will need about 4 inches per piece.

Step 3

With the bamboo stick roll each piece of paper until you get a straw, add a little dot of glue to the end of the paper to hold it in place.

Step 4

Flattened each tube and start rolling the corner around the bamboo stick. When you are finished with the first tube you can take the bamboo stick out and add a dot of glue before adding the next tube. Continue to do that until you have the size that you want for the coaster. I like to hold the tubes with rubber bands until the glue is dry.

Step 5

Seal your coasters with Mod Podge to make them waterproof. Apply the Mod Podge with the foam brush all around the coaster. Let them dry for at least 24 hours.

Final Product!

You can add rope to put the whole set together and add a little thank you note with your business card.
